Once you choose “Restore” the chosen previously saved version of that file will open immediately, reverting from the other version of the file to that selected revision. When you’ve found the version you wish to revert the document to, click on the “Restore” button.Navigate between the different saved versions of the file using the arrows on the right-side of the version browser, you can also use the arrow keys on the keyboard, or the scroll wheel on a mouse, or scroll gesture on a trackpad.Pull down the “File” menu in that application and go to the “Revert To” menu, then choose “Browse All Versions” to open the version browser feature.Open the document you wish to browse revisions for and revert to a prior version of.Access the Version Browser & Restore to a Prior Version of a Document in Mac Apps Keep in mind this will only work for a Mac file that has been generated locally and thus is using the Versions feature cache, files that are sent to you or downloaded from elsewhere will (almost certainly) not contain the revision control data necessary to revert to a prior version of that document.
